Product Introduction
Socket-and-spigot is a pipe-joining method that achieves connection by inserting one pipe into the spigot of another. Common socket-and-spigot fittings include socket-and-spigot tees, socket-and-spigot elbows, and socket-and-spigot reducers.
A socket-type tee is a pipe fitting used to connect fluid flow paths in three directions. One end features a large-diameter socket that can be inserted into a matching main pipe and welded in place. The other two ends have outer diameters that are compatible with branch pipes and are secured via socket welding, thereby forming an integrated connection structure.
Socket-welded tees offer a secure connection and excellent sealing performance, effectively preventing leaks. Their welded structure exhibits superior high-temperature resistance, allowing for stable operation within a temperature range of -196°C to 600°C. However, installation requires the expertise of a professional welder, and after installation, weld seam inspections are necessary. Disassembly involves cutting, resulting in relatively high maintenance costs.
