  • Product Introduction

A grooved tee is a pipe fitting that uses a grooved connection method, primarily used to divert or combine fluids in piping systems.

Structure and Connection Method: The grooved tee consists of one inlet and two outlets, featuring a straight tee configuration in which the branch pipe is at a 90-degree angle to the main pipe. The connection method involves first using a grooving machine to create an annular groove at the end of each pipe. Then, the ports of the grooved tee are aligned with the grooved pipes, and specialized clamps are used to securely fasten them together. Typically, three pairs of clamps of the appropriate specifications are required for each pipe’s flat-end annular groove to complete a single joint.

Materials and Specifications: In terms of materials, common options include cast iron, forged steel, and stainless steel. The specification range is quite broad, typically ranging from DN65 to DN300, which can meet the connection requirements for pipelines of various diameters.

Features: Easy installation—no welding or secondary galvanization required—reducing construction procedures and time, thereby enhancing construction efficiency. Occupies minimal space; the space occupied by groove-type clamp connections is approximately 70% of that required by flanges, making them ideal for applications with limited space. Excellent sealing performance—thanks to the coordinated design of the clamp and sealing ring, they effectively prevent pipeline leaks. Long service life—made from high-quality materials, these components are rust-resistant and corrosion-proof, ensuring a service life comparable to that of the building itself.

Application areas: Widely used in water supply and drainage systems, fire protection systems, and industrial fluid transport systems. In water supply and drainage systems, it can be applied to wastewater treatment plants and municipal drainage pipelines; in fire protection systems, it is commonly used for connecting fire hoses, ensuring a timely and sufficient supply of water in the event of a fire; in industrial fluid transport systems, it enables the branching and merging of multiple fluid pipelines, guaranteeing smooth fluid flow.
